2/24/2026- February has been a crazy month in my booksphere. I joined a Facebook group reading challenge and was motivated to read 11 books (audio/e-book/physical combo) this month. At over 3,500 pages logged, I am genuinely proud. Out of the dozen books I have read this month, one book keeps sticking out in my brain. This book kept me up at night and glued to my couch until I finished. "How I'll Kill You" by Ren DeStefano explores themes of blood family vs. found family. Raised in foster care, abused and torn apart, Sissy, Moody, and Iris aren't the typical set of triplets. Seeming to leave a trail of blood everywhere they go, the triplets bounce from town to town, assuming random identities and preying on men dumb enough to love them. Every sister has a role, and Sissy's is to clean up. Her attention to detail has saved her and her sister's asses on every account. Moody is a hurricane, blowing through towns at random and ripping everything apart. She is well acquainted with her anger and feels she was dealt an unfair hand. Iris is the cool calculation. Her meticulous planning and overall unchallengeable demeanor make her the fearless leader of the three. The trio feels untouchable, unstoppable, until one unplanned afternoon on the side of the highway and a widower in a small town. Their newest mark may not be as cut and clear as they first thought. Battling familial power dynamics, internal turmoil, and an ever-growing relationship with her murder mark, Sissy may not be able to clean up this job this time.

I'm serious friends, if you are a crime/thriller fan, this one was a 5-star. Add it to your TBR immediately and tell me what you think when you get around to it. I fell in love with Sissy, Moody, and Iris in their own ways. This one kept me guessing and anxious for what was going to happen next, properly earning it the title of my February fav read.
